JWL Interiors completed a detailed residential refurbishment featuring bespoke ceiling bulkheads, integrated colour-changing LED lighting and a newly created home bar.
The wider project also included new internal partitions, flooring, skirting boards and decoration throughout, helping transform the property into a modern and highly personalised living space.
Bespoke Ceiling Design
The ceiling design formed one of the most distinctive elements of the project.
Rather than using a standard flat ceiling throughout, JWL Interiors constructed bespoke bulkheads to introduce different levels, shapes and lighting details across the main living area.
These features helped define the space while creating a strong visual focal point.
Bespoke ceiling bulkheads can be used to:

Integrated Colour-Changing LED Lighting
Colour-changing LED lighting was incorporated within the ceiling bulkheads.
The concealed lighting produced a soft glow around the recessed ceiling features, allowing the atmosphere of the room to be changed using different colours and lighting settings.
Integrating LED strips into a bulkhead requires accurate construction. The recesses must be formed consistently so that the lighting runs evenly and the fittings remain concealed from normal view.
The surrounding surfaces also need a smooth finish, as integrated lighting can make small imperfections much more visible.
A New Home Bar
The refurbishment included the construction of a new bar within the living space.
The bar created a dedicated entertainment area and was designed to work with the contemporary ceiling and lighting features.
Adding a permanent feature of this kind requires careful consideration of the available space, circulation routes and the way the room will be used once complete.
Internal Partitions and Layout Changes
New internal partitions were installed as part of the wider refurbishment.
